Website Optimisation Proposal

Introduction

VITA NOVA AFRICA has a functional website. This proposal will focus on optimising it to allow for a better user experience and to make the website easier to find when searching the web.

 

Objectives

The following objectives will be addressed in this proposal.

Scope of work

The following will comprise the scope of each stage of this project

Stage 1: User Friendliness and Back-end Analysis

 

User Friendliness 

There are a few look-and-feel fixes we would like to implement on the front-end to improve user friendliness. Parts of the site are not fully branded, connected and furnished, namely:

  •  The site's favicon (icon in browser tab) still has the Wordpress logo instead of the VITA NOVA AFRICA logo, hindering the site's identity and “Powered by Wordpress” & Theme name are still visible throughout the site in the footer.

  • There are some missing or incomplete sections on the site, there is an empty gap on Homepage, Facebook/Social Media pages are not linked to the site, some of the products and services pages are missing as the links may not be up to date and there is no contact form present on the contacts page, which is highly recommended.

  • It is also advised that Products and Services open on new page when clicking on them, changing this will improve the time a user spends on the site, ease navigation back to the site and improve analytics scores by Google.

 

Back-end Analysis

We recommend that the following Analyses be done before any advertising is done. This is to ensure that the site is healthy, avoiding unnecessarily high advertising costs.

Stage 2: SEO & SEM

Search Engine Optimisation will be implemented to make the site easier to find by people searching for products and services, while Search Engine Marketing will be done by running targeted search- and display-based adverts to drive relevant traffic to the website.
